ARTLAS CHILD SAFETY POLICY

This Child Safety & App Permissions Policy (“Policy”) describes the measures taken by ARTLAS (“we,” “our,” or “the Company”) to protect children who may use our mobile application (the “App”), as well as the permissions required by the App and how such permissions are used.

ARTLAS is committed to complying with all applicable child protection and data privacy laws, including but not limited to the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Google Play Families Policy Requirements.​​

App Permissions and Their Purpose

​The ARTLAS App requests only the minimum permissions necessary to provide its cultural and educational services. The following permissions may be requested:

  1. Camera Access (Optional)

    • Purpose: Enables the Snap Art feature, which allows users to recognize artworks and receive related cultural information.
    • Data Handling: Images are processed in real time solely for recognition purposes. They are not stored, transmitted, or shared without explicit user consent.

  2. Location Access (Optional)

    • Purpose: Enables museum maps, nearby exhibition recommendations, and personalized cultural guidance.
    • Data Handling: Location data is used only for providing location-based content within the App. It is not used for advertising or tracking, nor is it shared with third parties.

  3. Internet Access (Required)

    • Purpose: Allows the App to connect to ARTLAS servers to retrieve exhibition information, AI-guided tours, and cultural content.

Data Collection and Use

  • ARTLAS does not use the App to deliver targeted advertising to children.
  • ARTLAS does not engage in behavioral profiling of children.
  • Any data collected through permissions is used strictly for the provision of App services and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Parental Controls

  • Parents and guardians may disable optional features such as camera or location services through device settings.
  • We encourage guardians to review device permissions and supervise App usage by minors.
